About me

Hi! I’m Liz and I am a DONA certified birth doula and Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator. I provide birth services to families in the Tidewater area, including Chesapeake, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Suffolk, Portsmouth, and the surrounding cities.

I have three children of my own, all with very different birth stories. Each one gave me more confidence in my ability to birth. It was through these experiences that I realized what an empowering feeling it was to take charge of my own births. As I began looking into becoming a birth worker, it became clear to me that every woman deserves to have a say in her birth experiences. I am passionate about informed birth and my hope is to share this passion with families as they welcome their new babies into the world. I serve all types of births- from homebirth to hospital birth, from unmedicated to cesarean, and everything in between.

I live in Chesapeake, VA, with my wonderful husband and our three boys. I hold a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from Belmont University. I taught music in an elementary school for 10 years before choosing to stay home with my children and hearing God’s call to the doula profession. I also love to cook, read, sing, and spend time with my family. I am active in my church and direct the Tidewater Homeschool Choir. My love of music and my passion for birth were the inspiration for the name “Natural Harmony.”
